It started so dry that we thought we would have no winter at all.
Frosty mornings at the lowest -8 degrees.
Two week ago the first cold spell came through and lasted a couple of days.
A foot of snow in Christchurch that is about all.
This time we got right.
Four days of snow and though it is now melting the side of the roads and streets still show how much we had.
Well according to the media, hanmer Springs is the village that got the biggest snow of all towns in New Zealand
